Alexander Ovechkin is one of the most electric players in the NHL today. He has consistently been at the forefront of production on the ice. Whether he is scoring replay worthy goals or making near impossible passes he continues to be a dominant force.

The same is true for his production in the NHL Playoffs. Alex has lead his team, the Washington Capitals, to the playoffs for three consecutive years. He has played a total of 27 playoff games so far. In these games he has managed to rack up 20 goals and 19 assists for a total 39 points. Five of his goals have been when his team has been on a power play and three of his goals have been game winners.

He has only accumulated eight penalty minutes throughout his playoff career. All of these came during the Caps 2008-2009 playoff run. Alexander Ovechkin has already proven that he isn’t just a regular season player and that he can step up on the biggest of stages, the NHL playoffs.

With such great production in his first three playoff runs, Alexander Ovechkin will continue to put on a show of excellence and talent for many years to come.
